The picture at the top of this post, was edited in lightroom 2 today. I didn't actually buy lightroom 2, but I downloaded it here. I highly advise downloading it, even if it is for 30 days.

O yeah! if you click on the picture at the top it will show you the *before picture, instead of expanding.

(*before meaning before I edited it)

Really cheap, but really awesome studio.

Really cheap, but really awesome studio.

I used two pieces of poster board as my background.

And propped them in a chair.

My pictures came out like this.

A little tweaking and a little cropping in lightroom and, you get this.

And you can see the purse here

The water ripple setup

I stuck a paper plate with about 3-4oz of water on a large speaker.

I used three work lights with no diffusion.

Then I joined the wires of the speaker to a plug-in of an old pair of headphones for the length, but this would also work if you don't have wire in-puts on the back of your stereo.

Then of course you need the music.

I'd advise something with a lot of bass.

Turn the volume all the way up, and hope you don't disturb neighbors.

When you take the picture it will look something like this.

To get the colors, adjust the temp in PS or LR

Can you guess what I did?

I'll try and post the setup late tonight.

Project 365; day 139

Pocket Watch

I got lightroom!!

Ok, sort of. I downloaded it off of Adobe's website.

It's really awesome, I'm not really sure if I even want CS3 now.

It's a 30 day trial so I'm hoping to get some good practice in the mean time.

If anyone has lightroom here's a great website.

Ps. This is my first time using a program like this.
So any tips or criticism are welcomed.

The Fanta Setup

Now, here's my setup.

A ladder to stand on.

Two saw horses cause the portable work bench is currently indisposed.

That really awesome and totally handy laminated piece of of partial board.

I took the clamp off of the work light and fed the cord through a cardboard stand.

I'm using a 75w frosted GE reveal light bulb. I've always had good luck with these particular lights bulbs.

Now for the blue filter. I used a air conditioner filter.
(a clean one!)

Then I stuck the light in a box which had the end removed and a door cut in the side.

A closer look.

Then I stuck the filter on top of the box.

I placed books on filter to lift the see-through box. This helps disperse the light shining through the see-through box.

Then I placed the see-through box on top.

I filled the box with ice and had a lovely assistance hold a piece of poster board over the box to bounce the light back onto the can.

Its another juniper.....I know.

I also learned something about myself today.

And that is...I'll drop a $20 for bonsai (which is an incredible deal) in a heartbeat, but I'm making snoots out of toilet paper rolls.

It makes me kind of wonder where my true love lies.

I'm throwing in a picture of my other bonsai which I've had about a month. I've not posted picture because its really tall, and won't fit any where. I harvested this tree from nature.

Well, we've made it a 100 days.

So, I thought I'd pose a question for all of the 365er's.

"Why did you choose the Canon over Nikon or vise versa?"

I choose the Canon 350D because I felt that I could get a better camera for a better price.

That's just me.

I doing a week of studio pictures, cause I feel like it.

I'd also like to point out, that I'm using a custom white balance.

Which I now love.
