Well, we've made it a 100 days.

So, I thought I'd pose a question for all of the 365er's.

"Why did you choose the Canon over Nikon or vise versa?"

I choose the Canon 350D because I felt that I could get a better camera for a better price.

That's just me.

MOST of us have made it 100 days x3 I need to stop slackin off but i've been busy..
ANYWAYS

I picked Nikon because it was in my price range and I had read a lot of good reviews about it... I didnt really even consider a Cannon.

Nice photo. Can't say I drink 2%.

Regarding Canon v. Nikon, I chose Nikon after nearly 2 months of deliberation. Though it was $200 more than the Canon XTi (400D), I knew it was a better camera, not overpriced. I chose it because of the in-camera quality and how customizable the D80 was. I also thought the offerings of the Nikon kit lens (18mm – 135mm) were much better than those of the Canon kit lens (18mm – 55mm).

When you by an SLR, you are buying not just the camera, but the rest the company, too (lenses, flshes, lights, etc.). The Nikkor lens family seemed much better than the Canon lens lineup. Nikon also has ‘Speedlights’ which can be used wirelessly off camera; I thought that was cool. I also tried out some of the Nikon software and VR lens technology.

I read innumerable reviews and comparisons on both cameras. Honestly, I could not find a bad review of the D80. I also went to a store before I had the money, so that I could see both of them lined up. The Canon XTi hurt my hands. No joke, it was too small. The D80 was a much better fit.

Was there milk in that jug when you took the photo?

I went with canon because, I knew more people who shot with it than Nikon (at the time). So I just figured I could relate more with them, borrow equipment, I could ask questions to them about my camera/other canon products, also if something went bad then I could ask them for help.

I personally don't like putting my equipment in the hands of some one I don't know. (Even if they fix canon cameras for a living)

But there are some exceptions.

Also I didn't have quite enough green for the D80. If I did, theres a chance I'd have a nikon in my bag right now...

Mimi~ Thank you.

Np~ I might have to agree with you (to a certain extent). I drink very little milk. Apparently I'm slightly allergic to milk. I have a skin condition that breaks out (on my hands) really bad if I drink to much milk. So yeah....

Tim~ Yeah, there is milk in the jug. I was looking for something that would really pop off of the black, and milk seemed like a good choice.
