As some of you may know April 15 is tax day.
You may also know our economy is not in the greatest shape due to the influence of our government.

So, all around the country people were conducting "tea parties" as a form of protest.
Well they had one right here in Chattanooga so I went. It being a momentous moment and all.
It was very peaceable, and I though it was a great thing. It was interesting seeing people from all different parties come together and protest the government.

There were people who spoke, but I've no idea who they were and I couldn't find their names anywhere. Oh well.

I did have an interesting thought though.
Why do we say the pledge of allegiance, and cross our hearts during the Star Spangled Banner?
I don't know it just seemed a bit sacrilegious.
As Christians is not our loyalty to God, and not a piece of dirt or scrap of cloth?
Don't get me wrong, I think living in the freedom of America is wonderful.
I just think it's strange to that we do these cultural things that have no biblical reason.

Hmm, I may come back and rewrite or add to this.

Thoughts

Okay...I've been thinking a lot lately. Not that you would know that, cause I don't post much about my thoughts. Which is one of the things I've been thinking about lately. So I'll start with that. I've noticed that my spelling, thoughts, and the overall way I say things have been getting quite jumbled recently. So I've decided that I need to start writing more. So you'll see more posts like this. (sorry to those of you who dislike my writing style)

Next: books

I wish I read more.

Since a post I wrote back in Feb I've only read one book. (And it was a reread.)
But I am working my way through Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Sea by Jules Verne. (which is awesome by the way.)

Now: Photography

I actually have a lot of things I want to say about this subject, but I'll stick with one for now.
I've noticed that I've only been taking pictures for project 365.
I have no pictures that I've just taken for no reason. I mean for the most part, most of my work is online. So, I've been taking more picture for me. Things that no one will never see, just because. I think its good because no one needs to know everything about every body.

And Lastly: Social Networks

I now have a facebook. Not really sure why, but I do. O, and just so you know, its not the best way to contact me. If you really contact me just email me. It's in my profile.

New links

I've added new links to my side bar, but as you may have noticed they're at the top. This group of links are solely dedicated to being new.....(to me). Basically if I find a website or a blog its going up in the new link section. So....I thought I' d explain what each link was.

Camera Labs- This site is really cool manly because they have video reviews, but its basically a review site based in the UK.

Diy Photography- Now this blog is really really cool, it show you lots of tips on different photo technique's and there's lots of DIY photography stuff. (consequently I think this one's also based in the UK.)

Strobist- Its kind of like the Diy photography.

Tominthebox News Network - Religious Humor/Satire- Well, I can't really explain this blog, but if your in to Christian politics you'll really like this blog. Also, the writers at TBNN make their points through the use of satire.

Man! I just used the word "really" way to much.

Well, I hope you "really" like the links?

A Prayer

"On January 23, 1996, Joe Wright, Pastor Of Central Christian Church in Wichita, Kansas, opened a meeting of the House of Representatives in Topeka with this prayer:

Heavenly Father, we come before you today to ask Your forgiveness and to seek Your direction and guidance. We know Your Word says, "Woe to those who call evil good,," but that is exactly what we have done. We have lost our spiritual equilibrium and reversed our values.

We confess: We have ridiculed the absolute truth of Your Word and called it Pluralism.

We have worshipped other gods and called it multiculturalism.
We have endorsed perversion and called it alternative lifestyle.
We have exploited the poor and called it the lottery.
We have rewarded laziness and called it welfare.
We have killed our unborn and called it choice.
We have shot abortionists and called it justifiable.
We have neglected to discipline our children and called it building self-esteem.
We have abused power and called it politics.
We have coveted our neighbor's possessions and called it ambition.
We have polluted the air with profanity and pornography and called it freedom of expression.
We have ridiculed the time-honored values of our forefathers and called it enlightenment.

Search us, Oh God, and know our hearts today; cleanse us from every sin and set us free. Guide and bless these men and women who have been sent to direct us to the center of your will. I ask it in the Name of Your Son, the living Savior, Jesus Christ. Amen.
