The building's even a piece of art

_MG_1379

The first photo is the Left side of Hunter Museum.
I'm not really sure if it's part of the museum it self or what because I've never been.

The second photo is the back side of the more currant addition to the Museum.
Oh, and this was taken from the Walnut Street Bridge.

Also my light comes tomorrow!
I'm psyched!

The lone light

Man, I've been taking a lot of pictures of cars lately!
No idea why.

I kind of went with the localized color here.
I really hate it.

Oh, and the color of the car bugs me a ton.
I shot this b/w in camera, with a red filter switched on.
So it made the red car a weird white-ish color.

Oh well.

Washstand bowl and pitcher

white studio shots 028-2

For this shot I thought I'd show the setup and talk about the editing.

This was the set up, just a piece of poster board with the pitcher on it.

And here's the original shot.

The spec's:

1/200
F/-1.8
ISO-100
50mm
w/0 flash
Time 4:30-5:00

In this shot all I did was up the exposure a very little bit and, I upped the clarity to 100%.
And all of that was done in LR.

And then in GIMP I cropped it, and used #19 fuzzy brush in GIMP and dodged all around the object, about six times.
And added my watermark.

Now because the object is white and, I was using a white background I don't want to dodge the background completely white but, I dodged it till it was just almost white.

And lastly I uploaded it back into LR and upped the clarity to 100% again to give more definition to the pitcher.

And that's it!

Let's Be Different

Found this, this morning in a pile of books my mom took out of the bookcase.

It originally said "Let's be different, Youth meetings."
I cloned the last part out.

I may be broke but, its totally worth it!

A new lens!

Just got it today I'm so psyched.

It's a Canon EF 28-105mm.

I got it used but, its in excellent condition.

It also came with a lens hood!
Which may not seem like a big deal to people with a Nikon but, Canon doesn't give you a lens hood with every lens. You have to buy one separately, which kind of stinks.

Didn't really get to play with it today. I had some things to do but, I think I maybe going out tomorrow, I don't know. So, maybe then.

Anyways this is the lens a 28mm.

And this is the lens at 105mm.

And here's a picture of me.
(with the new lens)

Because I can. :)
